COACH’S CORNER
Episode 2 of Royals District gives coaches an unfiltered look into the inner workings of an IPL franchise—scouting net bowlers, structuring open training sessions, managing travel routines, and handling the intensity of matchday execution.
FROM THE ANALYSIS BOX
Players operate in different motor loops—Big Loop and Small Loop—which reflect how their brain and body respond to stress, fatigue, learning, or relaxation. Most people spend their day in Big Loop, where their dominant motor traits (e.g. posture, movement patterns, communication style) are most visible. But under stress or change, players may shift into a backup motor profile, changing how they move, behave, and perform.
Using Kane Williamson as an example, his stance varies between teams—indicating a possible loop change. In one, he shows traits of a Distal Motor Profile (wider base, deeper flexion, midfoot/heel loading). In another, he appears in Small Loop, with narrower stance and rhythmical movement cues.
These loop shifts affect physical execution, decision-making, and even communication style. Coaches and players who track these subtle changes can better adapt training and unlock consistent performance. Want to learn more?
You don’t need decades of experience to use Neuro Batting — just a desire to understand how players think, see, and respond under pressure.
Neuro Batting is a brain-based system that helps coaches go beyond technique. It reveals whether a player's issue is cognitive (e.g. reacting to new instructions), visual (misreading cues), or mental (struggling under pressure). Each drill acts as a diagnostic tool, not just training.
It also breaks down how players respond to pressure, stress, and cognitive load — training these states separately and in combination.
Coaches using the system report stronger player development, clearer communication, and faster problem-solving. Whether you're new or experienced, Neuro Batting equips you with a structured, feedback-rich approach to coaching under pressure.

The 30-10-Now Drill
The 30-10-Now is a three-stage mental preparation drill. Guide players through 30 seconds of deep visualisation - batsmen seeing their trigger movements and contact points, bowlers feeling their rhythm and release. Progress to 10-second quick mental rehearsals with background noise. Finally, move to immediate action under match intensity, encouraging players to maintain their specific skill focus throughout each stage.
